Privacy Policy

The following explains how our games use the data you provide. It also points out how unnecessary such a policy is, even though certain distribution networks insist on us having one. Yes we have one. This is it.

1. Collection of data

Our games may collect and store data from two different sources:

1.1 Operating system and hardware data

Our games may access and store information about your operating system and hardware for the sole purpose of running on your device. This may include (but is not limited to) your OS version number, screen resolution and IP address (where local networking is used). This data is stored only on your device, and is never transmitted to any other machine. We don't collect or store this data.

1.2 Data you provide

Our games may store information that you explicitly provide to them. This may include (but is not limited to) your nickname, the colour of your ship or the weapons your character uses. This data is stored only on your device, and will only be transmitted to other devices you network with (see section 2.1). This data is never transmitted when playing offline. We don't collect or store this data.

2. Transmission of data

Our games transmit data to other devices when playing in network multiplayer mode.

2.1 Transmission in Local Area Network games

Your device will send data to other connected devices when playing in Local Area Network mode. This mode requires the host and clients to all be connected to the same local area network. The network doesn't have to be connected to the Internet. The other devices will receive your character or ship's colour, etc, and position and actions during play. It's just a game; it doesn't need any more information than that. We don't collect or store this data.

2.2 Online save storage (Puzzle Surfers only)

Puzzle Surfers allows players to share puzzles online. The only information that is stored is what you provide: your puzzle, and a alias to go with it. We store this data if and only if you choose to send it to us.

2.3 Transmission in online games

We don't have an Internet server for online games, so online play requires the use of a third-party multiplayer host. Therefore we can't collect or store this data. If you play one of our games online, the data our games transmit between devices is exactly the same as for a Local Area Network game (see section 2.1). Your host shouldn't require any additional information such as your email address to log in. Chances are they do anyway, so they should provide you with their own privacy policy in an attempt to explain how they're not using the data that they have no legitimate need to ask for. You have every right not to trust this, so we recommend playing our games in Local Area Network mode only.
